The eligibility criteria for obtaining a VNO License include a minimum net worth of Rs. 10 lakh, a registered office in India, and a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 or 2013.

Only those firms which are registered according to companies act are eligible for applying the VNO license – the company should be a Private Limited firm

When you make a company as a Private Limited firm then there is the document named as MOA ( Memorandum Of Association), in this document you have to mention that what type of services Or what type of business you will do in that company so in that it should be mentioned that you will act as an Internet Service Provider or you will provide Internet Services then only you are eligible for applying for VNO license. What are the Three types of VNO licenses?

You have to decide that what level of ISP business you want to do according to the DoT there are three types of UL VNO ISP license based on their area, these areas are categorized by DoT.

• Category A – For Pan India operations.

• Category B – for 24 primary states or Metro Cities.

• Category C – a government-defined area covering small villages, towns or districts.

After finalizing the category then you have you have to prepare documents (for details for documents you can call us) based on your category, you have to submit these documents online on a government portal. The payment like an application fee and entry fee will be done online through a Bharatkosh website.

Validity of VNO License

The validity of the VNO License is generally 10 years, subject to renewal. The guidelines for VNOs include provisions such as minimum net worth requirements, restriction on resale of services, adherence to quality of service parameters, etc.

VNO license Registration Process

After submission of application online then you have to wait for two and a half to three months for application processing, DoT take two and a half to 3 months defaults for an application processing. After processing application Dot releases a letter which is termed as Letter of Intent (LOI), after receiving this letter government gives 60 working days for preparation of Bank guarantees and submission of entry fee. After submission DoT will verify these bank guarantees and entry fee then they will send invitation for the signing license.
